Availability The tennis courts are available daily. Times vary depending on hours of operation. The tennis courts are reserved for exclusive use of The Village at Bear Trap Dunes owners, guests and renters. Courts can only be accessed through the Pavilion. The tennis courts are reserved exclusively for tennis. The Pavilion Management may close tennis courts due to weather and/or maintenance by either the on-site tennis professional or maintenance staff. The Har-Tru Courts will be open for the season on Tuesday April 1st.
Reservations Courts 1-5 may be reserved by homeowners by phone (302-537-6371) or in person at the Pavilion. Owners can reserve no more than two courts at any one time, for no more than 1 hour at a time. Owners may reserve courts three days prior to the day of play for no more than 1 hour at a time. Owners can reserve no more than two courts at a time. Guests and renters may reserve courts one day in advance, for no more than 1 hour at a time. If a court is not reserved for a particular time, or is reserved for a particular time but not occupied within ten minutes after that reserved time, it is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Courts may be reserved for official activities sponsored by The Village at Bear Trap Dunes Owners Association, which may delegate such authority to the Community Activities Manager or the tennis professional. Such activities may include tournaments, officially sponsored individual or group lessons, and community tennis league matches.  Advance court reservations for league matches may be made for “prime time” periods, such as Saturday morning and early afternoon and Sunday afternoon. Pavilion desk staff should so inform those wanting court reservations during league “prime time” periods. Officially sanctioned tournaments may be scheduled. Courts may be reserved for tournament purposes subject to the approval discussed above.
Restrictions - All players must wear appropriate tennis attire, including shirts and flat-soled tennis or other athletic shoes. Track shoes, boots or shoes with heels are not permitted. Bathing suits are not permitted. - The gates to the tennis courts should be kept closed at all times. - Pets are not permitted on the courts. - Only the tennis professional sanctioned by The Village at Bear Trap Dunes Owners Association is allowed to teach on the premises. - Please use footbaths after leaving the court and before entering the Pavilion. - Please appropriately dispose of all trash. - An adult must accompany children under the age of 12. - Proper tennis etiquette is expected at all times. No foul language is permitted.  - Management reserves the right to terminate/refuse play.
